The Yale Whiffenpoofs in Omaha
The Whiffenpoofs of 2027 are so excited to be performing at the Rose Studios for Youth Artists to celebrate Omaha native Eshaan Giri! Since their founding in 1909, the Whiffenpoofs have brought their diverse repertoire of vocal jazz, folk, pop, and Broadway hits to more than two hundred audiences each year across all 6 inhabited continents. In past years, the ‘Whiffs’ have sung for Presidents Obama, Bush (41 and 43), Clinton, and Reagan, and at venues including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the Kennedy Center. The Yale Whiffenpoofs at the Palace Danbury
Each year, just 14 Yale students are selected to become the next Whiffenpoofs—joining the world’s oldest and best-known collegiate a cappella group.
Founded in 1909, the “Whiffs” began as a senior quartet singing weekly at Mory’s Temple Bar, Yale’s historic tavern. More than a century later, they remain one of the university’s most celebrated traditions, performing more than 200 concerts across six continents each year.
Their performances may seem effortless, but earning a place in the group is no easy feat. Their repertoire spans generations, blending Yale favorites, jazz standards and familiar hits with the rich harmonies and distinctive style that have made the Whiffenpoofs famous. They have performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and the White House, and appeared on Gilmore Girls, Glee, Jeopardy! and Saturday Night Live.
Now, this year’s Whiffenpoofs return to The Palace for a special Saturday matinee. Fourteen exceptional voices, more than a century of tradition—and one wonderful afternoon of music.

The Yale Whiffenpoofs at the La Grua Center
One hundred and 16 years after their founding, The Yale Whiffenpoofs join us here at the La Grua Center, singing a mix of classic and contemporary favorites! The Whiffenpoofs, America’s oldest a cappella group, entertain audiences around the globe with their diverse repertoire of vocal jazz, folk, pop, and Broadway hits. Selections will also include “Anything Goes,” by Whiffenpoof alum Cole Porter, “Midnight Train to Georgia,” by Gladys Knight & the Pips, and “The Age of Worry,” by John Mayer.
Whiffenpoofs of years past have sung for Presidents Obama, Bush (41 and 43), Clinton, and Reagan, and at venues including Carnegie Hall, Broadway’s Lincoln Center, and the Kennedy Center. In recent years, they have also featured on television shows such as “The Sing Off,” “The West Wing,” and “Glee.”
Advance tickets $25 available ONLINE ONLY. Aged 18 and under admitted for free with purchase of an adult ticket! There may be a limited number of tickets available at the door the night of the performance.
All seating is first come, first served. Doors open 1/2 hour before the start of the event. The concert will last approx. 60 minutes.

Founded in 1909, the “Whiffs” began as a senior quartet that met weekly at Mory’s Temple Bar. Today, the group has become one of Yale’s most celebrated traditions. Singing a mixture of old Yale tunes, jazz standards, and other hits from across the decades, the Whiffenpoofs perform more than 200 concerts across six continents each year.
